Tai Chi Can Cure the Symptoms of Fibromyalgia

Tai chi is a martial art that combines meditation with gentle and slow motion accompanied with relaxation and deep breathing system. During this time, tai chi is known to improve muscle strength, improve sleep quality and body balance. In fact, in one study, fibromyalgia symptoms mentioned can be overcome by tai chi. 

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome characterized by chronic pain, stiffness, and pain on the muscles, tendons, and arthritis that cannot be detected. Symptoms of this disease among the sleeping soundly, feel tired when awake, fatigue, anxiety, depression, and disturbances in the intestines.

Dr. Chenchen Wang  in a study at Tufts University in Boston, involved 66 patients with fibromyalgia. They then offered to try tai chi or stretching exercises twice a week for 12 weeks. In patients who try to practice tai chi, we see the progress in the ease symptoms of fibromyalgia, while the other groups only a little progress. The results of this study have been published in the New England Journal of Medicine Thursday edition (19 / 8). 

Dr. Chenchen Wang said that fibromyalgia is a very complex issue and the "tai chi can solve the problem of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual."
